🎄Christmas is Coming...

With Christmas coming it's time to start gearing up for the main event. Much as we want to ensure that we remember Jesus' birth above all the glitz, glamour and commercialism that the secular world places on the season, it is difficult to not get carried away with it just a little bit (or a lot!). Most of us at least buy cards and a small gift for those closest to us so I would like to take this opportunity to ask that you consider where you are buying from. Try to support your local tradespeople who rely on sales to make sure they can provide for themselves and their families. They cannot compete with the likes of Amazon but try their best. I don't just talk about myself here as a sole trader, but the independent high street shops, eCommerce sites run by fellow crafters etc.
For my site I've been working on updating my listings and adding new ones. There are items being stitched ready for sale that will be put up as soon as they're available and others in the pipeline to hopefully be made before Christmas.

I have added my stock of Hannah Dunnett Christmas cards and you can choose the design you wish to purchase has under the options on the product page. I have the same system set up for my stock of her more year round cards too.

Other items added back onto the shop were some of the remaining handmade cards from 2022, Advent books, including some personal/group study guides, and I've begun to put up more of the Children's books.
This upcycled card is new to the site for this year and if all goes well I've looked out some more old cards to turn into something new that I would like to add this year.
I've even added some church supplies in the form of a variety of Confirmation and Baptism certificates I had forgotten I had liberated from a closing down shop a few years ago that I didn't want to have thrown out so I have priced these certificates individually at just 25p each.
Keep an eye on this space for further updates, including my plan to release a Christmas SAL on my Facebook page. My current plan is to make this a daily free design, but I may have to reduce that down to a weekly release instead as otherwise getting new stock available may be tricky.

Lastly, I've added a book to reference category under the secondhand books section of the site that is a mini biography about Winston Churchill. As a small book it doesn't take up too much space for those of us who love to buy books but don't have much space for many more!
