New Cross Stitch Design Added

This is a small design that would make a nice little gift if made into, for example, a plaque. This famous verse is very important as our words and thoughts can all too easily drift from the thoughts that please God and, indeed, other people too, to thoughts that degrade the people around us and give us a 'holier than thou' attitude.

The designs I upload on this site are designed to do more than give me an income - though that is a goal too. They are designed to give the stitcher a focus for prayer and meditation on the word of God. Some of us find that our hands need to be busy for our minds to be still enough to listen for God's promptings. When stitching a design that contains a verse from the Bible, or a sentiment that has been raised by the teaching of the Bible, then every time the pattern is looked at, that verse, thought or idea will slowly work its way into our minds and then, eventually, through our lives and into the lives of others.

There are a few general designs that get created from time to time like Happy Birthday for generic birthday cards, but on the whole I aim to make my designs as aids for prayer and meditation, or as blessings to make for others - we get blessed from making the item and then someone else gets blessed by the receipt of the gift.

Being in the UK this shop does not allow payments to be made, but links directly to the website shop where the full range of products can be browsed.

Finally, I'm hoping to get another design or 2 up this month as well as more secondhand/reduced price new books available (don't forget: postage is included in the cost of all books) and, if I get enough access to the office where my card making supplies are primarily kept, then a few Mother's Day cards should begin to materialise on the site too. I share the office and some of my crafting activities are a little loud when my husband is working from home and has important meetings so I am picky about when I get the noisier activities done.
